thumb Laing House Yarmouth Development Timeline

Laing House works directly with youth living with mental illness and mental health challenges who are not in crisis. Laing House provides support in the overall wellness plan for youth. All of the programs and services include peer support and member-to-member socializations that happen in healthy, secure, inviting and non-judgmental environments where youth can thrive. Peer support is woven into everything we do.

Our foundational outcomes include supporting youth to feel a sense of belonging, feel hope for recovery, develop a supportive peer network and increase their social confidence. The Yarmouth site is beginning to report on these outcomes, in it’s third year of a developmental evaluation to establish high quality and relevant programming that works for youth in the community.
