(they/them)
I walked through the doors of Laing House in April 2018, and began my work as a peer support worker, then a summer student. The experience was magical with everyone being so open and accepting, and the environment was something I’ve never experienced before.
Now I am a full Peer Support Worker again and It’s been an amazing opportunity to help people reach their aspirations.
I am a full time student at NSCAD University expecting to graduate Spring 2019. I am also passionate about social equity and hope to bring my life experiences as a queer-identified, Indigenous (Anishinaabe) person to my work here at Laing, and provide visibility and safety for members of all backgrounds.
I also think that laughter is essential in the way I’d like to move through this world.
