Laing House is reaching out to young people on the South Shore. The peer support organization for youth between the ages of 16 and 30 provides a supportive environment for people who have been diagnosed with mood disorder, psychosis and-or anxiety disorder.
Laing House has partnered with local organizations in the South Shore to provide peer support for people living with mental illness.

Laing House was a featured charity in this year’s Scotiabank Charity Challenge for the 2014 Bluenose Marathon. Our Stigma Stompers team was a mix of members, staff and community members who, along with a group of students from NSCC, raised almost $15,000 for Laing House. NSCC student representative Willem Paynter and Laing House board member Christine Pound were interviewed on Global TV to talk about the Stigma Stompers team and why they chose to run for Laing House.
