Do people live at Laing House?

Laing House is open during the day and evenings; no one lives here.

 

If I become a member of Laing House, do I have to go to all the programs?

Every thing you do at Laing House is up to you. We have a variety of programs here so that you can choose what interests you. Some members come every day, some come for a specific program once a week or once a month be involved a little or a lot, it's totally up to you.

 

Are there psychiatrists at Laing House?

We have a variety of staff with different backgrounds and training, including employment support, youth engagement, health promotion, social work, recreation, art and drama. At Laing House, we focus on the whole person, and helping you reach your goals. We don't do any treatment or therapy here.

 

How do I join Laing House?

Call us at 425-9018 and ask for Aaron Goodwin. Aaron will chat with you on the phone, and arrange a tour of Laing House so you can see if Laing House is right for you.

 

Do I have to have a diagnosis to come to Laing House?

Yes, you need to have a verifiable diagnosis of a mood disorder, anxiety disorder or psychosis (Including schizophrenia) to be a member of Laing House.

 

How old do I have to be to become a member of Laing House?

You need to be between 16 and 29 to become a member of Laing House.
