Laing House Gets Organized – Professionally Organized

Laing House was selected as the Charity of Choice for 2009 by the Professional Organizers in Canada, Nova Scotia Chapter (POC-NS). Laing House is the first organization to be chosen for this new initiative. Throughout the year, members of POC-NS will address the various organizational and operational needs of Laing House staff and members. Workshops will be held regularly on a number of topics, including: Chronically Disorganized and How to get Organized, Work Life Balance, and Records Management. Assistance will also be provided where needed on Excel training and IT systems management. Laing House will be set up for future success and increased efficiency because of the generous contribution of this dynamic group. The Professional Organizers in Canada currently represents more than 500 members in more than 14 chapters across Canada. Members include organizing professionals from all sectors of the industry - comprising residential and office organizers, time management and goal setting professionals, estate organizing experts, and many more. Professional Organizers are individuals who create customized solutions to increase the efficiency of any home, office, or individual. They assist people and organizations to improve their unique situations, as defined by their specific needs. Organizers are generally self-employed, and may subcontract or employ other Professional Organizers. Professional Organizers help their clients to find balance, restore order, and maximize their time and resources at home, office, and workplace locations.
